Lords of Shadow 2 picks up pretty much directly from where CV:LoS1 leaves off, with scant sympathy for anyone who skipped it. Just a warning.
A big boss fight intro kicks this instalment off and is, indeed, great fun. It quickly goes downhill, though. For all your handy super vampire powers (possession and a bat-assisted distraction, among other abilities), the stealth on offer is inconsistent and rewrites the rules in an arbitrary fashion as you progress. It ticks a token amount of ‘open world’ boxes, instead preferring to usher you from kill room to kill room, and is a bit of a dull trudge, in all honesty.
Which is a real shame.
