Having little interest in the affairs of the sky, AC:V always had a lot of work cut out for it; engage me.
Sadly, it falls some way short of achieving that. A promising start saw me barrel-rolling my merry way onwards, but forced me to turn back after about 100 metres of flying, it felt like. The freedom offered by piloting any form of aircraft has very rarely been this neatly side-stepped, and certainly it’s not often as glitchily executed as what’s on offer here. Perhaps most unforgivable, though, is that there’s no real heart here – it’s ever so slightly boring.
But, the soundtrack’s kinda ok. Ish. If you don’t have the OST to Apocalypse Now to hand. I guess.
