Blossoms’ star has risen in recent months after they have landed several high-profile support slots and this headline tour has seen them progress to playing bigger venues for bigger crowds.
Their show at Plug showed they are a band with the potential to own such a stage but still in the process of learning how to do it. Taking to the stage with few words of introduction they rattled through a brief set comprised of fan favourites and new material.
Previous single ‘Cut Me and I’ll Bleed’ didn’t translate effortlessly to this bigger venue however closing numbers ‘Blown Rose’ and ‘Blow’ sounded much tighter. Finishing on a whirlwind instrumental they left the stage and an audience who can see their promise just on the horizon.
