The sixth annual Camp Bestival has been announced, with Take That’s Mark Owen, Toots and the Maytals and Labrinth among those headlining the family orientated festival.
Camp Bestival, which takes place at the historic Lulworth Castle, will feature four days of music, live shows and over a hundred other things for kids to get involved in, from the 1st to the 4th of August.
Aside from the numerous musical acts, the festival will also have Erth’s Life-size Dinosaurs, the Sports Park Pro Riders Open Sessions, which allows riders and skaters to join in with the pros, and the Son Et Lumiere Fireworks Extravaganza, which will finish off the weekend.
As well as those, there will also be The Four Corners Treasure Hunt, Under the Dragon’s Wing Woodland Fire Trail, boutique camping under the stars, medieval jousting, a huge sandpit, a Birds of Prey display, the 80 Games Around the World Tournament, ‘Wild Things’ Bushcraft Workshop, Kawa Circus, evening campfires in the Soul Park, Jurassic CSI and shadow puppetry.
BBC Radio 1’s Rob da Bank said: “One of the reasons we started Camp Bestival at Lulworth Castle is because it’s in one of the country’s most beautiful locations. The Jurassic coast is full of hidden treasures – from ancient fossils, dinosaur bones and idyllic beaches to tank museums, theme-parks and amazing aquariums.”
Tickets for under 10’s are free, 11-14 year-olds are £30 per day, 15-17 year olds are £35 per day and adults are £60 per day.
