An album that starts with a tune you could imagine at the end of the track list… have you ever heard that one before?
No, but Half Moon Run have executed the move perfectly, and have given their last album ‘Dark Eyes’ from 2013 a swift goodbye whilst doing it. Sun Leads Me On is an album saturated with both percussion beats you can’t ignore and atmospheric folk harmonies, two elements that are essentially their trade mark, and boy oh boy does it sound fantastic.
With stunning vocals throughout, this is an album with masses of opportunity to do a soulful sing-along to with your mates – air grabbing, hands on the chest… the lot. It becomes a true challenge to not let the infectious sound get to you!
