It’s pretty much over now, right?
There can be very few people looking out the window right now, thinking ‘Ooh, I wish I was in a field in the middle of nowhere with nought but a tiny-ass tent for protection from the elements.’
So, now that the dust has settled, it’s about time to have your voice heard. The UK Festival Awards 2012 gives the public their chance to vote on many issues, including (but not limited to) the Best Dance Festival, Best Major/Medium-Sized/Small Festival, Best Dance Event, Best Family Festival, Best Metropolitan Festival, Headline Performance, Best Breakthrough Artist, Anthem of the Summer and, more pertinently, Best Toilets.
Whilst the system is incredibly flawed—what percentage of the general voting public managed to attend all the festivals, and thereby actually have a valid opinion?—it should no doubt provide grounds for a little back-slappery and thumbs-uppery for the UK festival scene. This is no bad thing, and we’re gonna allow it.
To have your say, head here with your infallible and exhaustive knowledge of the last few months. Voting will close on the 31st October 2012 and all voters have a chance to win 2 VIP tickets for every festival that wins an award and a spanky new iPad.
