Not content with being one of the UK’s most legendary rock clubs, Corporation now curates one of the best live rock all-dayers around.
The first ever Winter Rocks festival attracted bands from Belfast, Sweden and New Zealand to play alongside home-grown talent. £18 got you 17 bands over two stages.Tremendously well-planned stage splits meant gaps between sets were amply filled and refuelling with burgers and 70p vodka equalled happy faces.
Plenty of Black Spiders fans were in house judging by the number of sweaty backs clad in their merch, but it was their tour mates Rival State who impressed with a maximum effort over on the second stage.
Deserving a crowd ten times bigger, only an unstable lighting rig stopped vocalist Luke Van Hoof swinging from the rafters. Same time next year?
